CAT and the Boeing 727

The history of the Boeing 727 series is also an example of a sucessful sales- and marketing concept: the first trijet introduced into commercial service – made it to one of the best selling airliner in the world. From 1960 to 1984 about 1,831 aircraft were delivered worldwide. In 2001, nearly 1,300 aircraft were still in service.
